Ignition switch died...my options?

I sold my car to my friend, and the ignition switch went out. Is there a way I can bypass the power to start it up to take it to a shop? He doesnt have the $$ for a tow truck...

Any help?

i guess that would be "hot wireing", an ignition switch for a 4th gen costs 30 so why not buy new one? or buy remote start

a third gen should be similar

Well - yea, I guess i do need to hotwire it, but I need to get it started to take it to a shop. The place where it is at my friends house isnt a tow-able sitting.
