strut fluid coming out of the bottom, smushy bouncing around on the right side, clunking from the same side....

I thought it was an axle... the fluid all over the inside of the wheel... but on closer inspection it was the strut fluid from the JIC

Kei office coilovers... i had those ones SLAMMED and they never blew!!

Wow... you must have hit a high @ss pothole or something.. I had mines and I'm sure other ppl can vouch for them too. It's harder to blow these then the other aftermarket struts/shocks.

So you're going to have to put a regular strut on in order to send that one out. That sucks!

Damn dude, that sucks...I was going to go with JIC a couple months ago but now I've decided to get the Cattman/Progress coilovers. I like the fact that they were engineered specifically for our car, and Cheston even prefers them over the JICs.

You spent a grip on that suspension so hopefully JIC will warranty it and you'll only have to pay shipping...

see thats the thing... I have 19"s and my 19"s hate potholes... so I moved to a city where there are no potholes... we have the smoothest freakin roads here I didnt hit a single pothole not even a mildly bad one

Dan is right, I'm pretty sure its a defective strut... Turbomax had the same problem his was even blown before it got onto his car

and yeaup I have to take it off my car and send it to JIC which means my car will be on stands for awhile dammit

Ha, you should here him talk about the JIC's for his Z.

Thats because Cheston has never tried the JIC's.

Nope none like that. Only thing I have to do is preload the damn springs now.

No one else has had problems with theirs either as far as I know.

All I know is that Cheston himself said that he prefers the Cattman/Progress ride over the JIC. I don't doubt that he loves the JICs for his Z, I mean the JICs are great coilovers don't get me wrong, but there isn't a coilover set made specifically for the Z yet. I guess that's the whole point he was trying to express to me.

Has anyone heard anything good or bad about the Cattman/Progress coilovers?

I have had no problems as of yet. I inspect them on a regular basis. I have over 15,000 miles on mine and not a single problem. Did you possibly have them set to the hardest setting? The instructions state the last two clicks at the hardest setting are not usable and if used will result in damage.
