Interesting tidbit about pulleys from SCC...
In the newsstand issue with the new Impreza on the cover, they had a tuned Legacy wagon inside. It had underdrive pulleys, but the author pointed out that pulleys don't even have to be underdrive to make power.
Because of the law of rotating mass, just getting lighter pulleys without an underdrive ratio will make more power. The author of the feature pointed out that each pound saved from using a lighter pulley frees up about 2.7 horsepower, and it only increases as rpms rise.
So, if underdrives are giving us trouble, can we just get some lighter ones? That might be a solution for the people that have been having problems.

I read that too. Nice legacy by the way. It seems to be a great mod t ohave lightened pulleys with their theory they are talking about it freeing up and it only gets better as rpms increase.
unorthodox pulley
well without going to the website i dont have the exact figure, but i think they say that only 20 or 30% of their pulley's gains are from underdriving - the rest is from reduced weight.
