I think I have a factory freak :)
Well on my way home today I see HIDS coming up on me and I take a closer look and its a 2k4 coming up...anyways I was already doing like 80 and decided to speed up as well. Basically both of us were full throttle and it was basically even? I am not sure if the 2k4 is supposed to be faster than my 2k2? We were both auto, and when I got off the highway I pulled over and talked to the guy- he asked if I was 6 spd since my car moved like one. He told me how he traded his 2k3 he had for the 2k4 and how my auto 2k2 was faster than his 2k2 6 spd it seemed? Anyways other people have been in my car with 2k2+ and said my auto is fast as well...right now I just have a on my face...

Which one loses?
My buddies GS400 is a '98 with a Swift Racing intake and piggyback.
My SE is bone stock.
I would out 60ft him putting him at my back bumper then by the middle of third he would blow by me badly.
A properly driven 6 speed should hold a GS off even better then that.

so maybe your buddy just doesn't know how to turn on his power mode and floor the gas on his GS

but the big factor what where mr frankencar trap speeds? 94 which is not very impressive for a 6 spd.

My track must be *****-slow because I've seen 4 GS400s run out there now and the quickest one went 14.6@96mph and he had the cheap 16" wheel on. The others are running 14.8-15.0@95mph. One was at the track a few weeks ago when I was there. Granted the weather was extremely hot, he was only getting 15.0@93 and I was getting 14.6-14.7@94mph. I can't imagine every single GS400 is poorly driven because it doesn't take much skill to turn off traction control and push the gas. I use to really want a GS400 because they were suppose to be so wicked, but until I see one at my track pull a sub 14.4, I'll look elsewhere.

from a stop too around 80 a gs400 isn't unbeatable. From highway rolls gs400's will own n/a maximas even the ones that run the fastest times in the world at the slowest track ever built
