What was your 60', 1/8th, 1/8th mile trap speed, 1/4, and 1/4 mile trap speed? I don't believe for a second that you've ever gone to any track. You're too funny. Smoking Z28s, Cobras, S2000s, GSXs, SC Max's, etc. Sounds to me like you are a young kid who finally got relatively quick car. Unfortunately, you don't have a clue what you are talking about and you believe all musclecars are slow. Did you happen to own a Si prior to the Max?

Hey Dave, he's saying he was even faster than a 14-flat. He'd have to be to beat a Z28. They run a 13.7 or something like that. And with three other ppl in the car, his Max must be a rocket. I guess he's got tons of 'Nismo' stickers. They'd make way more power than that intake and exhaust would.

I understand where you are coming from completely. However, we have given this guy a chance and he's blown it more than a few times. He is cocky, arrogant, and ignorant. He is more ClubSi material than Maxima.org. Nothing upsets me more than misinformation and ignorance in forums. When these kind of people post garbage, usually we'll get a visit from another board like LS1.com, CamaroZ28.com, the "Corral", DSM.org, etc which unsually starts a flame war and wastes space. I just want to keep the garbage out. If I came across as a jackass, I'm sorry. It's the only way I think we can get across to this guy.

i think you guys are being way too hard on maxirma. i can think of several variables that would give credibility to his stories.
1. maybe during a mishap at the factory, a skyline drive train was accidentally put into his max.
2. maybe he's confusing 0-60 times with 1/4 mile times.
3. maybe he waves a gun out the window while racing thereby discouraging any passing.
4. maybe he considers a 150hp shot of nos "normally aspirated".
5. maybe his friends in the car are imaginary.
6. maybe our definition of the word "racing" isn't the same as his.
either way he's been an inspiration to me. i'm officially planning to be the first all motor, full interior max in the 6's. I'll accomplish while towing a boat, running on only 4 cylnders, and using only that intake tornado thingy, z-max oil treatment, and powered by nissan stickers.
i'll update you guys on my progress.

You should run him before and after your new engine build up Also I don't mean to discredit your 14.2 ET in any way, but were you running slicks? I just had my first track experience this past weekend and I'd love to get that low I have a set of drag radials, but I didn't run them because of the extra tranny abuse.

calm down young blud.. if you for reals do hit 14's then good for you, keep the pride within'. I would like to speak out for many that the general population that responds to record setting times are very optimistic. all you gotta do is show simple proof. many people on this board denied my claimb of running 15.333 bone stock but then i showed up with a time slip and my beautifully cleaned out car.. And to challenge a person to a street race isn't the way to go, set up a track meet where everythign is done in a professional matter, and excuses would all be denied. Especially excuses like "oh ilet off" or "my clutch is slipping" is not at all an valid excuse. a race is not lony a competition against two machines but also a competition between one's hand and eye coordination as well as their reaction towards the green light. if you drive a 5spd then you must be very skilled with your claimbs.. if u wnat to shift faster goin NA. i suggest u do the follwoing mods to your tranny at your ow risks:
tranny rebuild, in order to minimize grinding during a power shift (clutchless shifting at high rpms) many racers grind down ever other teeth of their gears half way down. that way there is a looser mesh inbetween gears allowing certain play which in turn allows u to powershift with minimal grinding of your gears. if you can do that, and have the mods u say u have i'm sure you'll be able to hit mid to low 13's. i also do suggest the LSD transaxel for your laungches, drag slicks, magnesuium 15inch wheels up front and a wheely bar in the rear to keep your front end down so you get maximum traction in between shifts and run 115/50-zr 14 in the rear (if there is sucha thing) then u'll be flying down the track and i would be more than glad to read about you on various magazines.

bottom line. if you want to share something in this bored that is cnotroversial you would need evidence to back it up. i am in no way discrediting you because i could careless. Nor am i defending you because of the same reason.
