What kind of tint?

I've heard that all kinds of tint except "Huper Optik" will mess up signals (radar, cell phone, remote entry, etc.). Can anyone confirm this? I plan to get a V1 later.. after i get tint.. but i want to make sure it will still work with the tint. I want to hear from people with tint and radar on how its performance is affected by the tint.

i bet you heard that from the place that only uses "Huper Optik" tint. I got madico tint on mine, and I havent noticed any difference in radio or cell phone reception.. My friend went to the same tinting shop as me, and since he has a nav system, they told him he should get 3M tint because its totally non-metallic and wont interfere with the nav. He was charged an extra 50 bucks for it, and quality wise it looks about the same as mine.

Anyone heard anything (good or bad) about Huper Optik?

Darius, Llumar is a good brand. I currently have that at 35% and I like it.

All i heard was that Huper Optik wont mess with signals like radar and nav because it's non-metallic. Isn't Llumar metallic?

Yes, Llumar is metallic. I'm not sure about the signals, but my radio catches just fine. We don't have the navi option here, so there's no cars with navi.

Aren't our antennas on the back windshield? If they are then it definitely wouldnt mess with the signal because tint is on the inside of the glass.

Yes, you're right they are embedded within the glass and I do see the point you are trying to make. My bad. My tint covers the black dots too, and I know there's been some discussion in the past regarding reception and tint covering the dots. Sorry, hope that clarifies some of it.
