Also, sometimes the dyno may be calibrated wrong and give you wrong numbers. I would give it another shot at a different dyno and see if the numbers are acurate and if they are, take it from there.

the air fuel ratio chart shows my max as 17.5 at 3300 rpm then it skydives down to 11 at 3500 and hovers around 11 to 12 until fuel cut off, is that normal?

can you feel the power lost yourself? well..there is couple things you can begin to investigate:

1. exhaust leakage
2. clean throttle
3. clean filter
4. check your sparks, if they died get them replaced
5. get for codes again, reset ECU

that's a lot of milage actually. although K&N suggest clean out the filter every 50,000mi, but i say if you clean it every 10,000mi it'll be better. never hurt to spend extra 30 minutes doing it.

and yes, clean your throttle body as well.

I know this may sound stupid, but make sure you are actually getting full throttle. I have a friend that experienced power loss due to his aftermarket pedal covers that secured behind the pedal and prevented the car from reaching WOT. Also, be sure your pedal stopper is secured. Have you had the power TSB done?

If none of those apply, I would check for a vac leak, see if TB needs cleaned and be sure to use premium fuel. From your website, it looks as though you have a Injen, so just be sure the filter is clean and all the hose clamps are secerely fastened and there are no leaks.

3 things come to mind, one is check the VIS for proper operation, next check the VTC if they aren't working that would cause a loss of power uptop. Lastly check your ignition timing, a malfunctioning knock sensor would cause the ecu to run less advance thus a power loss as well.

i don't care if i sound like n00b, being n00b, or gettin n00bed. everyone was once a n00b and perhaps still n00b at different aspect parts of the car. some people may have fully loaded intake exhaust drop rims etc, but doesn't know how to do oil change themselve. and now that's n00b.

anywayZ i want to back up what i said about tightening throttle cable. it's nothing fancy but just adds up your throttle's reaction time from the moment you step your gas pedal till the throttle body. if doesn't help then don't bother listening to me.

thats what they are saying though. there is no throttle cable on 2k2 and 2k3 maximas. the throttle response is controlled by the ecu. its known as the name drive by wire system. nissan currently has a tsb for the drive by wire for hesitation which includes a ecu flash. i also suggested the vis was not working a couple days ago in the same post in the 5th gen section.

if i were you, i would disconnect the vias and drive with it plugged. if the car feels the same then the intake is not working properly. i know 2k2-k3 are different than my 2k1 because i just have a line running into the midpipe that i can plug up. i thought i was having an issue because of a low dyno on hp but not on torque. i plugged up the intake so it would not work and it was noticably slower in higher rpms. maybe you can get your hands on a fsm and find out how to disconnect it.

Good call...you can activate it yourself by physically moving the linkage. WILLSE had a problem with his gasket on his IIRC...
