Another long-time Maxima fanatic steps down

Well my baby has been sold to another local car fanatic. I trust she is in good hands and will give the same joy of ownership that I received(save the poor paint).

Although most of ya'll don't know me, I've been a very quiet viewer for many years (since Evan's Maxima SE site way back in 96-97). I've learned greatly from your combined knowledge and consequently blame the org for my love of cars.

Anyways, here she is:

Her replacements(which should keep my automotive love-life going):

Well, I hope to be back into a Nissan product again someday. Maybe an Infiniti Skyline as a M replacement?

Cheers.

So you have a S2000 and a M3. Love those cars. You definitly didn't step down in quality or performance. Infiniti Skyline? Did I miss something here?

I'm working off of assumption on a high performance G35(possibly named Skyline). I drove the G35 and loved it. The looks were a lil disappointing, but nothing wrong with a rwd Nissan...

But to answer your original question, I currently drive an S2000 & M3. Let's just hope my Bimmer holds up as well as my Max.

Right now, I'm living in Germany. I've got another 2 years left before I return to the U.S. Thanks for the invite, I'll surely look ya'll up(northwesterners) if we get stationed back up there. We actually miss Spokane...

Not really an upgrade. I've had the S2000 for a year now. The Maxima has been our daily driver/extra car for the past couple years. Three months ago I finally broke down and bought my dream car (E46 M3). When the smoke cleared, I was sitting on 4 cars with 2 drivers. Not good for a poor military guy, so we decided to sell the Max with the S2000 probably following. But after 2500 miles on the M, I'm very happy.

Very nice replacements! Enjoy them as they are great cars and probably are more fun than I ever had in a car. One day I shall get an NSX, but not to replace the Max.

CONGRATS on the M3 !!
I've been an org member for 5 full years now. But you've been here longer! Remember the good old days when Andy ran things? haha.

Are you on the s2000 board too? I bought a S2000 almost 3 months ago and I am "hokiemax" on s2ki.com

Thanks everyone!

nupe500: The 4th is a 2000 4Runner. The wife's ride and crap-picker-upper.

hokiemax: Yes, I've seen you at s2ki.com. It is one of the better car-related sites. So do you have any regrets on getting your S over the Z? Since Nissan is known for horrible resale values, I'd love to jump on a couple year old track model. Maybe use it as a dedicated solocross car!

Yes, Andy B was a genius. He had like a doctorate in his early 20s. He was going to originally get an M, but decided to get in on FI power. Nothing wrong with that.
