Help, please make me feel better!
I was on the fone with my insurance company today cause I am thinking about adding on a sport bike. The good news is that even for me (19 years old), full covereage on a sport bike will be between $270 (for a little Kawasaki Ninja 250R) and $450 (for a 600 cc bike) per year. Insurance is totally affordable. Next is to take the motorcycle safety course which is $100. And to choose a bike and gear. So anyway, I was askin about insurance, and then I found out that a 97 Z28 would have cost only $150 more per 6 months then what I'm paying (i mean parents) for the Maxima. Damn, double damn. Insurance was the only reason I did not buy a 2 door v8 rear wheel drive sports car cause I thought it woulda been totally through the roof. But for only $150 every 6 months I shoulda been all for that. But instead I jumped straight into old person's territory with a 4 door FWD "balless" sedan. :-( So, I'm askin if anybody here can make me feel better and justify the purchase of a 97 Maxima SE vs a 97 Camaro z28. For the price of the Maxima, i could have easily had a loaded Camaro.
So anyway on a second note, anybody here into sport bikes?

HAte to use a 4 letter word on you in response to your post (you ask for one reason why a MAX over a Z28) but............................................... .................................................. .................................SNOW!!!!!!
Also-it has a back seat for a horny young man like yourself.

I read an article a while back saying that more people die in accidents when they are driving mustangs or camaros than any other vehicle. I personally don't like the shape of the camaro either, but thats just me. I drove my friends 98 z28, and I wasn't that impressed. It has ballz, but i wouldn't want to deal with its handleing conditions in the rain or snow. The interior is kinda blah too. Stick with your max.
As for sport bikes.... don't buy a 250cc or anything smaller than 600. A small bike is good to learn on, but you;ll get bored with it real quick.

Personally I'd take the Max over the z28, but that's just me. I've never driven a z28, but I have driven a SS
It was fast as hell, but Fbodies are really lacking. Sit in the passenger seat (isn't that cat wonderful) or the back seat (if you can call it that).
As for bikes if you want to start with something nice go with the Yamaha R6. It's a damn nice bike, and probably has the best ratings if you go for that sort of thing.
