Ok....next weekend/or maybe during this week....I'm gonna paint my gxe grille to match my ruby pearl paint. All of the 3rd gen se's look like that so I know what it will look like ahead of time. Any advice. I'm gonna sand off the peeling chrome....leave a pretty smooth surcace?.....then spray it ruby red....clear coat it a couple of times.....then wax it. Sound good? Advice?

I painted the grilled on my 4th gen. Sounds like you know what you are doing. I did about 5-6 light coats and then 4 clear coats but it still chips every once and awhile. It looks good though. I don't know what more to do to prevent chipping. I guess it's hard to prevent chips when rocks fly at your car at 80mph!
