Damn! Dealers Parts Are Expensive!

I called the dealer and they wanted $76 plus tax for the air intake temperature sensor. I found a website www.autoparts-autoparts.com that I bought it from for $30 total with 2 day shipping (I'm impatient). Why was the dealer so expensive? Anyway just wanted to give this website a plug for this great price on the part I needed.

True, but at least from the dealer you know you're getting OEM components...

Crap! I didn't think of that. Ah, I don't think it matters this isn't an important part. I just want that damn check engine light to go off. Is KEM a good company? I just looked and thats the company that makes it. Sounds like a knock off of OEM or something.

Two places Dave B the parts guy and Jerry Rome Nissan (www.jerryromenissan.com) tell them your from the org.

When I bent a strut my dealership wanted $$$ and I told them that I could get it for this much from another dealership and gave me that price.

After a couple of repairs recently, I, too, witnessed that NISSAN's OEM parts are ridiculously expensive. Aren't you guys surprised, as well, that NISSAN keeps this monopoly on parts? Or should we feel lucky that we can replace the NISSAN genuine battery with a Die Hard or something commonly available?
