Splicing into Parking Lights - Wire inside of firewall?
Splicing into Parking Lights - Wire inside of firewall?
Hey guys,
I just installed some new fog lights on my car and one of the wires was too short, so I can't reach the switch in the car because it's up, under the dash. The wire that I am referring to comes out of the switch and needs to be connected to the parking lights. Where can I find a wire for the parking lights inside of the firewall? For now, I ran it out through the firewall and it just makes it to the battery. I'd rather have it go to the sidemarkers anyway so there is less chance I'll leave them on. I guess my other option would be to extend the wire, but if possible, I'd like to connect it to a wire inside of the car (if there is one there).
Thanks,
-Nick

I remember this from maximadriver.com, refering to the indiglo gauge wiring...
You can access an buttons that light up in the cabin...they all light up when you turn on your parking lights so that should be the same concept you are looking for...
I don't think the current draw should be an issue b/c you are just trying to complete a circuit...but I would be careful anyway...
Just throwing out an idea...hopefully you find one that works...
