Maybe I did say I was going to run 14's, I dont remember. I was probably basing it on a stock VE 5 speeds 1/4 time 15.1-15.4 and then the modded ones which will run mid-high 14s. But I was wrong. BUT I never did say I would beat and boosted Max, that is made up. I think you are as slow as me, cause no matter what you say when we turned left I was RIGHT THERE with you and I had a witness in my car that you hit it first and I got into the next lane and hit it and you were going no where, you would of really had a hard time once I got into 3rd. So say what you will...I am getting slower by the day but I am not worried cause I have a spare engine and as soon as I am ready, 0 mile VE will be in. Time to start the wrath again.

I think Aaaron will beat you cause he runs LOW LOW 15's. His very first run in Fontana was a 15.1 back to back to back. He has a few more things he is doing that I am pretty positive will get him into the high 14s, I know that is his goal and the reason he is coming out here.

Bare chassis? must be those rumors of him removing his 5lb pillar again or something? He removes seats and trunk like most everyone else. Give credit where credit is due. If I remember correctly you yourself USED to give mad love to 3rd gens talking about how you liked them so much. Should I bust out my AOL AIM archive?

Maybe I should strip my car and see what I can run. I ran 15.3 with a intake, and and a catback. I did no lightening of the car, I ran with my full interior, and a sub and amp in the trunk.

You heard that too? Maybe I should take my pillars off... I have never removed any of my interior stuff... The only thing that I have taken out is the spare. I do like third gens especially Derrick's.

Just go to the track and settle it. Geez. mid 14s is a great number for any 3.0 liter maxima. Johnnymax ran a 14.6x in his 3-gen with ticky vtcs. With over 200k on a motor, I wouldn't really call that a special defeat but anyhoo. Just run on the track instead of your mouths!

I could tell when you were on it and when you hit the brakes. I didnt let off, I saw you hit the brakes and get in the left turn lane and I actually was going too fast to make the left turn cause you were on my side so I had to go down the street and bust a u in a no u zone

You should, after all it is the track and you are there to see what you can do.

I hope you were joking with the "you heard that too?" comment, cause he didnt take his pillars off and besides they only weigh 5lbs. If you can shave 100lbs by taking your stuff out you shave a second. Why would you go to the track with everything in your car? you might as well let me sit shotgun while you run. Look on Aaron's website he lists VERY HONESTLY what he has.

BTW: Derrick =

Yes it does, more of them meaning more owners out there. If you have 1,000 Civics and 500 Integras which batch do you think would have the chances of having a faster car? Wait until the 5.5 community grows, they will be the fastest. You dont understand the VE and VQ are the same gosh darn thing.

PLEASE do not lock this thread b/c 4th genners are getting OWNED. Sorry, but facts are facts. If anybody wants a piece of my 1992 4 door normally aspirated automatic, just let me know and we'll set up a friendly gudge match. This fall/winter in Fontana is ON.

Wanna race in full street trim? If you drive your car daily on the street with no interior then so be it.

Timeslips will be posted on the .org
If you want to strip your car down and lose 80 lbs, then do it. I know I will be removing my passenger seat and rear seats to lose up to 80lbs. That's almost a tenth. I will also be removing my headlight to do my normal track setup b/c I do what I know works. Feel free to do that too if you want. Did you want to line them up again? Give me a chance to remeed myself without your ECU. You have a lot of mods up on me. But was still able to be 4 hundredths behind you.

..and 5th ahead of the 4th, which I implied.

It's just cosmetics after the leader anyway. I do like 4th gen styling best after the 3rd gen. Of course, 3rd gen does not win every aspect of the game either, like power for instance. Yet this poll is about the "favorite", and that encompasses the overall rating of the model. In that regard, there's only one answer. Think of it as the progress of a great music band. They start with a mediocre album, get in their element in the following editions, achieve a genius masterpiece where almost everything falls in its place, and it's usually downhill from there, with one or the other quality retained.

just out of curiousity, what would it take for you 4th gen "communists" to respect a VE powered max? i mean, really. i'll respect the first NA VQ that beats me (not track time, not dyno run, an actual run either from a light or on the highway..or both *street racing is baaad mmmkay?*), until then i only respect the 13.9999999@ ???mph all motor VQs (apples to apples here guys, i'm only talking about the 3.0s)
disclaimer: i'm not speculating that i will be faster than a 14.0 but given how well i knew my car before, i think its quite possible assuming everything works like it should. and before anyone asks, if you dont know all my mods, then you're not going to find out until i dyno or track it. no there isnt any juice, and no snail(s).
sorry VG guys, i'm not a believer in the NA SOHC VG.

I think you have a good shot at being the fastest N/A Maxima. But the sad thing is nobody will respect it still. It is more of a jealousy thing, the fact that an older car is just as good as their newer car is what it is.

we argue cause the race we had here in socal to in a way determine bragging rights was between aaron92se and slammed95.

it was settle a few months ago and andy came out on top. until then aaron will have something to prove.

vq edged ve out slightly.
4th gen edged out 3rd gen again slightly.

from what i hear they were pretty even races. slammed got to the end before aaron 2 of 3 times.
you guys talk about facts well those were the facts. aaron says he has something for andy. then we will see.

these two cars are pretty evenly matched in mods and both automatics. both know how to drive.

i think i know way too much about these cars to just move onto something else when i better my financial situation, so i plan on doing 2 sick motor builds, one NA and one for boost..then i'll shoot for the fastest 3rd gen maxima..ya never know, the first time i get to romp on my max, i might total it and change my priorities around and start whippin' a trek instead of a car.

as far as me being the fastest n/a maxima, i'd doubt that could happen for a long time (we'll see if its even possible with this one pending dyno and track results), whats nealio run? 13.6? 13.4? what about ethan? i know he doesnt mean as much because hes a 3.5 but whatever.
