It's hard because we're sticklers

For me it was a money thing, but I broke down and called in a dent doctor thinking he'd be the savior, and at about $80 per panel. Many seem to think it works.

Well, sure enough he can get his tools in there, basically anywhere. BUT, he can not fix dents if they are on an edge, and I also question what the **** he is doing on little dings. These dudes seem to miss and then put a convex ding that can be seen from the outside.

So in conclusion I think they can make larger dents better but I don't think they disappear like some have said. At least that's my HO. Put it this way, the dude gave me the choice of paying him or not paying him, said it was up to me. Because I thought his work was c*** I opted not to pay. But for him to give me a choice, obviously he knew he didn't come through either.

I think you have to live with dings because repainting is gonna make things worse. It's a shame because all of our cars would look brand-new to this day if others didn't ding them up. But that's the world.

Dents

I always was wondering that if you took the door panel off and hit out the dent from the inside would that fix the dent? Anyone ever try it?

I know what you're thinking because I thought the very same thing. I completely removed the rear-left door panel including the PW switch thinking I could pop out a dent--the material is VERY VERY tough--when you try this you realize how hard someone else has to strike your door in order to leave a ding. I've had scuffs on the door where someone hit it, but after polish/cleaner the scuff came out of the clear coat and there was no ding. You really have to be inconsiderate to hit someone's door hard enough to leave a ding.
