I have a 96 GXE, and I want to upgrade my sound system. I don't want to get any subs, but I am very interested in upgrading the 4 speakers that i have, adding some separate tweeters, and even buying an amp. for the amp, i only need it to boost the sound quality that comes from the speakers, so i'm only looking for a decent, good-valued kind. can anyone give me some advice on what brand and what kind of equipment i should buy? thanks

 

Check out the Infinity refernce separates, the 6.5" sell for $199.99 at Circuit City. They have a great sound and are at a good price. If you want to go high end they have Kappa perfect components but they retail for $599.99. Also for you rear speakers you don't need components just a basic pair of 6.5" coax speakers as rears are fill only, and for proper imaging you should turn you fader to the front slightly, 2-3 notches. As far as amps JBL makes some nice amps, tons of power for the money and they have great sound quality. I have 2 180.2's and 2 1200.1's but they are sitting in the boxes as I'm waitting to find a good shop to install them for me.
