92 Maxima and 94 Montero are my bearters.

96 Pathfinder if my everyday car.

WRX is the "naughty" toy.

I got a '97 Geo Prizm, or GP as she is affectionately called. She's at 140K+ miles and still going.

Yes, they are beautiful. It is amazing how many people compliment on my buddys 93 lx, I can drive that thing and SOOO many people look. They also ask if it is for sale. No matter what domestics can be made the fastest for the cheapest.

BTW: Shrink those damn pictures dude!
Agree, the quality does suck. The first thing I am going to do is mod the interior, I dont know how I can live with it.

BTW: nobody should be using dial up.

And T1 connection here, but people shouldn't have to scroll over so much to see the other half of the low quality pictures.
Yeah, the reason they are underpowered is cause they are VERY restrictive from the factory for emmissions. Example: 454ci Chevy in a old vette is around 200hp, slap a carb and intake on and you are well over 300hp.

haha, you like my throw away camera scanned in pic?

That is all I had at the lake that day.

I have a 21" monitor...no scrolling here.

Wow, big pictures, big monitor, big engine....you wouldn't be trying to compensate for anything would you?

Take those maro's are shove em.

I dont care what any of you think of my mullet as long as I have a V8 screaming.

Also, do you notice people say great taste? they compliment? you pull into a parking lot and they stare and come and talk to you? You do not get that respect with a Maxima, most people will just smack talk. American muscle is on another level, people have a different respect. Some people are just very delusionalized with their 14 and 15 second imports.

Donald, people see me coming and wait for me to pass before they merge onto a road that I'm on (in the Mustang). It's crazy, at first you think their waiting and they dont see you and their going to hit you or something, then you get used to it and wave at them. Cant really imagine it up here with a fox body though. Funny thing, just the other day some guy asked me if I had ever seen the movie Gone In 60 Seconds, obviously my answer was yes, and then he asked more about the car. He ended the convo with "Nice car, and dont drive like they do in the movie". I got a kick out of it.

That is the type of stuff. When we go to lunch the owner of the Taco Bell always asks "where is the mustang?" Me and my buddy pulled up to Del Taco and two ricers almost broke their necks looking for it after he revved it to redline. Then some dude in a 4 runner says "want to sell that thing?" Another one that was great, I was driving it and stopped at a light when a hot looking chick in a escalade on dubs looked over and smiled, then said "nice car". Then there were some dudes working on our equipment at work and I pulled up in my buddy's stang and they all walked over and started checking it out talking about how nice it is. ANOTHER one was a dude in a Vette was like "Wtf you got in there?, it sounds nice." the list goes on and on...

and on that, wether im next to ricers on the road or american muscleheads; they look over and see cars like mine and think like youre a nothing...

meanwhile if it was a V8 sports/muscle car, theyre either speechless or give you the

its like you get no respect in anything that seems less worthy, i hate it

It is impressive, but then they just think "its still a 4 door all pimped out" there will never be respect in america. And how many 4 doors are going to hand a modded stang their ****? you know the answer to that kloog.

BTW: Maximaman dont worry, I love Chevys, I am just not a fan of the new maro styling. I love the older ones.

I'd just like to say when I was in my buddies vetta he got the respect the maxima will never get but I think Japanese tuning is getting a lot more credibility.

I have a 93 Regal as my winter beater. Thing just keeps on going and going and going...

Thinking about an early 90's Prelude or something for AutoX too.

I just bought a 2k Maxima SE last week. I also own a 1979 CJ7 and a Nissan King cab 4x4. The 4x4 is fine for short trips around town and as a backup car for the Jeep. The Max will remain stock with the exception of some GX2's, rear sway bar, and a FSTB. The CJ is my play toy. I have a Dana 44 for the rear and a AMC 401 I'll be building to replace the 304 thats in it right now.

This is a fantastic site and in the last two weeks I've learned a ton about my Maxima. Thanks for a great site!

The Max is my only car. I've looked at other cars and can't get rid of the Max. I've also considered getting a beater for winter, but the Maxima does well enough in the winter that I can't justify needing to drive something else.

My winter beater is a 91 Escort pony. Sadly, it's stationary in my driveway right now and winter's approaching

Grew up with a 1980 Mitsubishi Lancer, the good ol' days when Lancers were RWD. Ahh, the good ol' days. Car still runs, my mom drives it.
