Dynoed the PFI Turbo kit tonight 325.83HP & 308.69 lbs of torque AF 10.5:1

Final run after my own dyno tunning myself

I am boosting 9.7PSI, turbo is a T4/T04E, vortech FMU 8:1 FMU disk, SAFC, Walbro fuel pump and this is Nigels PFI Turbo kit, Thanks Nigel for this sweet kit

http://bigdogjonx.net/fullpics/dyno/Jay25turbo/run5.jpg

10.5 from 4000-redline, was my fuel ratio. I gave myself some cushion since it spikes up to .7 PSI. Did it only once but I am better safe then sorry. I am also not all that greedee for power. Believe me 308lbs of torque is plenty of torque. Pulled on a 300Z TT with big mufflers on it today still in disebelief I did that. Even the driver pulled his windows down to talk but traffic was heavy. I want to say thanks to Dixit (BigdogJohnx) for the help and for uploading these Jpegs to his site and for hooking up that computer to my car. I could not have dynoed my car with his help since I did not have a Chart had a digital AF thing that reads off the numbers to you. My little brother for making sure the MEVI was working etc..

One more question how do you guys figure out what kit puts out best number PSI for PSI?

base run with broken MEVI
http://bigdogjonx.net/fullpics/dyno/Jay25turbo/run1.jpg

started adjustments

http://bigdogjonx.net/fullpics/dyno/Jay25turbo/run2.jpg

http://bigdogjonx.net/fullpics/dyno/Jay25turbo/run3.jpg

http://bigdogjonx.net/fullpics/dyno/Jay25turbo/run4.jpg

the directory in order is here

Dixit insisted on me lowering it down 12:??. This is not like the supercharger that I can predict where I am at all times. This thing can spools up so fast at times in the streets in very very few secs, and leaves me puzzled as to wether I should stay a bit rich to be safe vice sorry for been lean. So this is not the best numbers I can put out. I can put higher numbers if I bring the AF to at least 12:1

last set up was 321.9 HP and 260 ft lbs of torque

4 more HP and 39lbs of torque. And remember my AF ratio is still rich 10.5 to 1 vice last time was 12:1 on the SCer set up.

Yeap, I still believe if we got the a/f ratio near 12.5:1 or where it put out the best HP, I think we couldve broke 340-350whp. I watched the a/f ratio on all the runs so we could calculate where to make the changes. Reason is that the guy doesnt have the a/f hooked to the dyno computer. But not really an issue if one person watches it.

Man the 1st run he was like 9.5-9.9:1 a/f from 3500-redline.

The computer Jaime was talking about was the OBDII I had hooked up to his car to watch some things and clear codes when the car gave them. We kept getting P0105 which is the absolute pressure sensor, and that was because it ended up stalling on the dyno when the operator hits the brake on it. No biggie, clear it, move on.

Jaime one question I forgot to ask you, when we were driving back to my place, and we ran each other on the hwy, were you pushing it ?

Need to bump the A/F up like dixit said though..

Why not lower the PSI a little bit, but lean out the A/F mixture? This way youll have a cleaner running car that will use less fuel? Im assuming youre running colder plugs... Just my thoughts based on what little information I know about F/I. Very nice numbers by the way, car must pull like a train

I was previously supercharged pushing 10PSI. I already had 1 step colder plugs in the engine. Now I am pushing .3 PSI less. I know for sure from racing Ramius83, the car will put out close to 350's right where I want to be w/a 3inch exhaust. Jason whats the deal with the Greddys. If we want we will need to buy a complete STI or Subura greddy exhaust system just for the muffler. That is what Greddy told Eric yesterday.

Good idea to lower the PSI, I did had it at 9.5 but instead bumped it to 9.7. I did not know .2 PSI would make a difference and the car pulls even harder. .2 PSI makes a difference I guess

Oh I forgot to tell you guys cost me $50 an hour to dyno tune at this place. $50 it was. $45 to do 3 pulls anytime. Just drop by my house and we will run up there

Oss you can go with Dixit or we can run up there. Baggs dont forget I got your 8:1 disk.

It will all depend when I get all the stuff in. Dont want to tune before everything is done.

Corey, he still running on stock injectors.
We dont have the a/f ratio on a chart because the guy hasnt bought the cable to integrate it with his dyno software. He basically puts in a wideband $450 O2 sensor and its hooked up to this large LED screen. While Jaime made the runs I watched the O2 screen to see where it was an how it moved up the RPM range. Then with what I saw we adjusted fuel trim on his safc. Its not bad because the a/f wasnt hopping around like people think it does. Like from 4000-redlin it moved gradually from 9.9:1 to 10.5:1. So very easy to tune even without the a/f on the dyno chart.

if you knew anything about the AF ratio youd see that I did not tune 12:1 . I am satisfied with my numbers thats all that matters to me. Hal is spraying, I am not. My NOS kit is still in the box

Jaime, when will you take the car to the track? I'm eager to see what will you run. Low 13s? I know you ran a 13.6 with your 10psi SC setup.
