I was just curious as to whether or not all of the Maximas have an ECU that the driver can read by using the simple screwdriver technique. This is referring to stock ECUs of course, but that brings up another question... Do the aftermarket Maxima ECUs have this as well?

 

i know all 4th gens do, i think 99.5 has a different location or something, not sure of anything else.

 

well with ob1 and ob2 code technology...i dont think they all had it.

 

99.5 has the same as the 95-99.

Only the 4th gens have the ability to read them. I hear the 5th gens have to use a diag tool for theirs.

Aftermarket ecus are just modified stock ecus. They operate the same:

can u read them like u can read 4th gens? like is there a diagnose page for them? just wondering.
