I think its something rubbing against the rotor but I cant tell.

It definitely sounds like metal on metal and its louder now since I put in power slot rotors.

Is this something I should get checked out right away?

You probably bent the splash shield. Poke a screwdriver through your rim and push the shield away from the back of the rotor.

 

wow....I never thought of that.....I'm gonna try that when i get home tonight.
