**Weapon R Intake**

i stopped by speedworld today in long island today, and the guy that worked there showed me a new weapon R intake designed for the max..the **** looks sick as hell and he told me its gonna work better than my poor man's CAI i got in now. He wants $200 for it..anybody heard about this or they have it on their car?let me know if its better than the cai i already got..peace
Foam Element filters aren't a favorite among people on this board. I don't beleive in them either. I've heard stories of the foam breaking down and tearing. Not good at all for your engine. Plus, 200 dollars is just too much for just another in-hood intake. Get a real CAI for that money.

I don't know about the gen3, but Jeff F. had one on his `97SE and the filter element ended up next to the engine, ingesting very hot air.
It was worse for performance than a regular cone intake or CAI, in other words. I wouldn't buy one without seeing the design first.
And $200 is an f'ing LOT of money for a Weapon*R intake.
