Does anybody change the settings of their AGX's for winter? I have mine currently at 3Front 5Rear, and I am think about changing them to 1Front 3Rear or so...What do you guys do?? Also I will be storing my Maxima for the winter in a month, like I always do, and I will be putting stock 15's back on but since my KYB's are new to me I'm wondering if it would have any affect on the settings while the car sits?

No difference whatsoever when you're storing, i'd leave it as it is... If you were driving it, then you might notice a difference, it should stiffen up quite a bit in the winter...

 

depends whats springs your running, right now im running 3/6 on sprint springs. I know i may have to soften the rear up a bit for the winter but if i soften them too much then my car loves to bottom out ;-(

I just had Jeff install my front agx's after yr 1/2 on stock fronts with rear agx's on. Man what a major diff. I didn't have the money at the time to all for plus a lot of people said the fronts would hold up for a while. Well after 1 1/2 yrs of every day driving on stock and waiting for someone to come out with shocks for us I bit the bullet and went for the 99 modified ones. Jeff at Max did the install and they are like day and night. No more bottoming out up front and the car is so stable now. The front are set to 2 rear at 6, with 18x8s stock offset with 5mm front spacers and 20mm rear. Funny thing though only right rear scrapes a little over serious bumps with full load. Other than that car handles great with these settings. I will drive the car all winter also.

 

i think if you set the front AGXs to 1, the ride will be bouncy with most lowering springs.. theres not enough damping on the first setting..

i know theres a difference with my B+G springs.. on 1 its almost floaty after every bump, but on 2 the car just goes up and down once, and then stops.

 

I have progress springs and so far even in the colder days we have had in Colorado, I like my 3/6 setting. I might change it down to 2/4 to see if its better but for now Ill keep it this way till we REALLY get the cold snaps.

 

My AGX settings:

1. Summer (Daily Drive) 4/6 stiff and fun

2. Track....1/8 better traction up front

3. Fall...3/6 wet, damp still better traction and fun

4. Winter...2/4 traction and "better give" all around

*I also drop from my 18s to my 15s in the winter....
