this first video is an attempt at a top speed run. it's at night so it's kind of hard to see. rest assured, my friend was the one operating the camera, not me. in addition to the regular analog speedo, i have an apexi digital speedo mounted under my head unit - so that's what the camera is shooting most of the time. during the time the camera is on the analog speedo, you can barely make out the rear end of the needle(it's red) pointing up, so you can tell the tip of the needle is pointing almost straight down. anyway, it got up to 148 on the digital speedo.

this second video is me racing a hooked up mustang GT that went out to the street races on slicks. all you hear is his loud *** exhuast. he jumped me out of the hole real bad but i catch up and end up beating him by a car.
http://www.n-bone.com/sx7r/gt.MPG

the third video is me racing a stage III turbo audi A4. he bogged on his launch so we were dead even till top of second gear and then i started walking him pretty bad.

this last video is me racing a turbo SI running 7psi. i got him out of the hole but wouldn't you know it, i'm out of nitrous and he catches up and pulls about 2 cars on me by the end of 3rd gear. so yeah, he beat me.

fyi, those three street races happened back to back. i only had about 3 or 4 pounds of nitrous left in the bottle so my pressure was really low.(yes, this is my excuse for losing to the turbo si) but seriously... in my opinion, i would have beat the SI if didn't run out of nitrous. alright, that's all folks... more next time.

yeah, i had the .045 jet in, and i also went down to a .040 fuel jet. that seemed to take the blue away, but the brown specks are still there, so you're probably right in saying it's just carbon deposits from running rich. i'm going to try the .047 jet whenever it stops raining here.

Sx7R, which NOS kit you running? I'm getting a NOS kit from JC Whitney for 375 shipped. It's only a 40-60 shot. What shot are you running? Also, what gear/rpm do you flip the switch? Any info will help, thanks.

bluefish: daytime vids of street races are hard to get cuz people don't meet up until after dark. longer vids - i wish but, the sony i have only does 15 seconds at a time. sux, but usually enough for a street race.

BlackMax13: we were running in garland at 190 and shiloh - where fujitsu is. this was about 12-1am.

yj: yeah, we're going this weekend if it quits raining. racing at java sux nowadays, cuz it's just a bunch of high schoolers talking trash. there was a turbo impreza there last week, but it got it's *** kicked by an LS1 and a formula.

Synki: i have the 5175 kit. it's basically the same as 5122-24 EFI kits. it just comes with a bigger jet(.045). i have a full throttle switch with window switch set at 3800 and 6200. so if the system is armed and i'm flooring it, it'll hit between 3800 and 6200.

Yep, $375 shipped. This from JC Whitney. They have having a special on it till 6/30/01. The kit is normally $495 shipped but with a 25% off = $375 shipped. I didnt feel like doing the math sorry. Anyways, if you do order you need to mention a few things to get this discount. You can get all the info from the 3/01 SCC mag. But i will still provide you with the information you need to get the discount. This is for a 40-60 shot made by NOS.

Mention that you saw it in the SCC 3/01 issue.
Enjoy!

dude that is an excelent deal... one question... how hard is the install? is this something that a novice mechanic can do, or how much should I expect to pay for a pro install?

i'm running an 85 shot. i have a window switch so it engages at 3800rpm in first gear at WOT(yes, i get wheel spin like crazy but i don't like dealing with a handheld button so this will have to suffice) i have a fuel pressure, exhaust temp, and air/fuel ratio gauge. electronics? uh.. i guess the window switch is about it.
