remote start - 4th gen

Im going to have a remote start installed on my car in next few weeks, guy doing it said the remote will start call and also unlock/lock. But Im wondering anyone with remote start are you still able to roll down the windows with aftermarket remote?

i have the clifford remote start and i'm not able to roll down the windows anymore... but i think there is a way to do it since there is an unused button on my remote, just need to not be lazy and take it back in. I liked that feature tho when i had the stock remote. but its wayyyyy nice in winter to have a warm car to crawl into

i have a viper 550 esp. we need to get window modulators to have that option unless you carry around both remotes. getting window modulators will also enable us to roll them up so it may be an improvement over the stock option.

I haven't seen a remote start unit that can do the windows yet.
I've only seen ALARMS that do windows and sometimes remote start. that's usually an added on relay anyways.

ok here is a breakdown of the process for my car so you will know what to expect:

lock: none
unlock: relays needed because a double pulse is needed to unlock the car
trunk: none
siren: none
remote start: none
windows: window modulators to allow windows to roll up/down depending on how much you invest on them

note that i still have my factory alarm from nissan installed so basicallly i have 2 alarms on the car and this may cause differences between our cars when installing whatever you are installing

If you have a DEI alarm/remote start, you can get the window modules (530T) and integrate it with the alarm. It will roll down/up with the remote. I plan to do that in the spring.
