From Maximadriver.com:

"*Sigh* Today was not a good day.

It rained earlier this morning here in Los Angeles, and left the road slighty damp in the afternoon, and actually had drifted some gravel toward the edge of an S curve on Hilgard and Le Conte ave, here on the north east sector of UCLA's campus. I was coming home after lunch with my friend carl, and hit that patch of dust. The rear Yokos lost traction and the rear came out. Sliding more than 80+ feet, i slammed into the curb, and uplifted the front end of the car onto the curb, and started "curb riding" the edge for the entire duration of the skid. My passenger side Revo slammed into the curb, and was grinding on the edge and wearing it down nearly one inch of the aluminum alloy that TSW used to make the Revo. Thank god TSW makes strong rims, and the spoke stayed intake during the accident.

My Front lip was hurled UNDERNEATH the car, and was bent/inverted under the car, (still attached thanks to the two screws on either side) and was digging into the grass on the edge of the curb. As i was sliding, all i could think was: Counter steer and prevent flip over. I was really really scared, as all i could see was the on coming traffic, which was near by, and the jogger that my car was heading toward.

Result of the "love tap?" Flat spotted the front two tires, from the countersteer and sliding, and my rear tires have severe "chunking" from the massive rubber loss. The passenger side Steering Knuckle is completely demolished (split in two), the newly installed koni is OK, for now, but i have to check. The car idles slightly odd, it could be impact of the car onto the curb. The front bumper is slightly impaled with deep curb scratches, and the metal near the edge of the bumper has been bent severely, due to the severe bending of the front lip. The Revo is toast, along with the tire on it. (which now has a DEEEEEP groove in it. How deep? The letters AVS on the side wall now resembles: A. the V and S are completely erased.

The curb prevented a potential flip over, which i was glad, and after getting the car towed to my garage, i looked at the damage, by lifting the car with a jack, and checked underneath. *damn* My stupid Yoko Avs Intermediates were just rotated when i installed my konis..

I will probably go thru insurance for this, %$!@$!@"

That sucks man, sorry to hear that, hope everything works out for ya.

Cheston, sorry to hear about the accident. But, as much as we all love our car's they are worthless as far as our lives are concerned. I'm glad to hear that nobody was injured.

Arg, it's the curse of the Koni. Seems like the same thing happened to me and someone else, right after we all had the Koni + Stillen sway bar setup. And when he talkes about his rear coming out, it comes FLYING out, too fast to catch. I ended up getting new sticky tires, which seemed to fix the loose rear problem, and I guess the message for everyone is, never overestimate your car. Even though you might have the latest suspension stuff, your tires are still keeping you on the road, so don't overestimate their grip.
Man, I'd be kissing my new tires everyday if they weren't so dirty for the stunts they let me pull to dodge other stupid drivers. I'm glad I didn't skimp on tires this time around, and I'd recommend that everyone else do the same.
And yes, you may quote me when I say "I love my RE730s"

i am. ok. thanks alot for your concern.

i feel like an ***.
to some members of this board and in general...
sorry for my previous comments. i guess i deserved this.

insurance will be dealing with this.

this is what i think might be repaired:

front bumper (deep grooves: repaint needed),
front lip (ohhh.. hohohoh.. it's toast),
the passenger revo with tire,
steering knuckle,
CV boot (possibly),
steering arm ,
the front rotor,
and possibly my newly installed koni.

most damage is on the undercarriage from grinding the curb.

well. so much for Las Vegas motorspeedway. :P

thanks again for the comments,

#%!#@$2 Yokos..
arrgh.
