Anyone have any experience with hot-tanking heads?
Anyone have any experience with hot-tanking heads?
I'm going to be rebuilding a spare VE motor this summer. In order to get rid of the carbon that builds up over 10 years, I'm thinking about hot-tanking the heads and intake manifold. My only concern is what all I'll have to replace after the hot-tanking. So my question is..... What else other than the carbon buildup is the hot tank solution going to dissolve in the heads? (seals etc.) I know that the cams on the VE run on journals and do not have bearings to destroy, so that's one positive.
