Bump.

Seattle to Vegas shouldn't be too bad of a trip.

Nah....

Hell, I put almost 26,000 miles on my car in 9 months. I'll put on 3k miles in one month.

Couple days should be a piece of cake.

I think I'm going to try and organize a Kansas City Midwest Maxus in June. We have about 20 guys in Kansas City, quite a few in Oklahoma, and a ton in Texas. Anyone can come though. It's not going to be anything terribly special, just a track night, dyno pulls and car show/cook out the next day.

Friday night: Kansas City International Raceway (www.kcir.net) drag racing 6pm-10pm, then hang out at the hotel and/or cruise southern Kansas City.

Saturday: Rent MC Racing (http://www.gomcracing.com) for dyno pulls from 9am to 2pm then to Shawnee Mission Park (http://www.jcprd.com/parks_facilitie...ee_mission.cfm) for a cookout, show off your car, etc from 12pm till 8-9pm.

Sunday: go home and/or stay in KC is see all the attractions like the Plaza, Worlds of Fun, Oceans of Fun, Royals baseball, minor league baseball, etc.

We could get real elaborate, but I figure most people want to keep thier costs low and organizing something really complicated with big deposits never seems to work. It's $20 to race at KCIR, $60 for two dyno pulls (only about 15-17 people would be able to dyno due to time constraints), $12 for shirts, $5 for the shelter rent at the park, and $70-80 a night for a nice hotel room in Johnson County (southern Kansas City, KS -> the nice part of town).

I think I can our KCMaximas.org Nissan dealer to sponsor us plus I think I could get the guys from Warpspeed to come up from Arkansas.

Look for info in February.

Hmmm... let me see:

Grand Forks, ND to Las Vegas, NV = 1645 mi
vs.
Grand Forks, ND to Kansas City, MO = 679 mi

my conscience----> <----nubiannupe

Although, I have friends in Henderson, NV that I can stay with, thereby saving me the hotel fees that I'd definately have to pay going to KC.

Gotta think about this one...

That would be a fun vacation. Road trips are a blast if there is someone that can cruise with you. Plus you can to see your friends in Henderson that you haven't seen in who knows how long.

Yeah... I was thinking of the vacation value of it all. Plus, the added bonus of seeing Aaron's fast-@ss ride will make the trip all the more worth the trip!!

Haha, thanks. But I feel disappointed when I take people for a ride in my car. My low end sucks so bad that it makes my car feel MUCH slower than it is. Plus, the Vegas conditions and altitude makes my car 7 tenths slower than sea level. So it's a very noticable difference.

Some people come from sea level and ride in my car and then compare it to theirs. I know they are thinking.... "Man, my car is faster than this thing." Haha, it's a sleeper even when people ride in my car and check things out. No low end and a smooth power band that pulls harder the higher it revs.

That's ok, Aaron... we'll just hit the strip and blow a few bills on showgirls, wine and let THEM ride US around in the Max!
