SARD FPR Install Question

I'm in the process of removing my stock fpr and putting the sard fpr on. i got the 2 screws off and removed the stock fpr. i'm trying to remove the return fuel line. how did you guys get to the hose clamp thats underneath the manifold/throttle body??? i can't reach the stupid screw...

any suggestions? i don't think removing the throttle body would help because that hose clamp is underneath the upper manifold part that connects to the throttle body.

uhmmmmm take the throttle body off will give you more room.

i had one of those clamp things on mine i ended up cutting the fuel line and cut the clamp of.

its a PITA.
you will figure it out.

i tried taking off the throttle body, the vacuum hose underneath seems to be a pain to take off so i didn't want to try. scared of ripping it.

i actually broke off the part of the stock fpr. the part with the o-ring on it while i was pulling it out... got it out ok eventually though just no more stock fpr to put back on later. haha.

yeah i'm thinking about just cutting the fuel line and cut/rip out the stupid clamp. no space in that little area. PITA alrite...

only had a short-angled one... couldn't get it in there especially w/ my big hands. got it off though after some cutting moving the throttle cables over a lilttle and some cutting.

but the new hose is getting stuck at the "bump" its 5/16" fuel injection hose line. tried using pliers to grab it and push it in more but after going over that "bump" its not going much anymore... did anyone else have this problem?

i used a bit of WD 40 on the hose to moisten it up before sliding it on...trimmed to fit long after everything else was adjusted...but the original hose and clamp got destroyed in removal...no biggie...i replaced them the time I swapped it back

and thanks for the fpr tracy.

Ok, got the fpr installed and everything. Set my idle pressure to 34-36 psi. However, when I floor it the pressure goes up tto about 48 psi. It should be at 44 psi, right? If I give my car about 3/4 throttle it goes to 44 and as I go to WOT it jumpts up to ~48 psi.

Do I have a vacuum leak? I don't recall how the vacuum works and how it adjusts the fuel pressure at idle & WOT. Or could it be a FPR thing?

Hey Tracy, the FPR was fine on your car, right?

Thank!

TJ, ...I would not recommend mixing your spit and WD-40 on the same finger...

yeah by base pressure was a bit high but I am running Walbro as well..so that most liklely contributed...if I set it at hi-30s it would not throttle up right...so I had it at like 44 idle pressure

LOL...

you had your idle as 44 psi? you can only adjust the base/idle fuel pressure with the SARD FPR correct? When I put in your FPR my fuel pressure was at 34-36 at idle without adjusting the FPR at all and I do have the Walbro GSS342 too.

Hmm... makes me think I have a vacuum leak, can anyone confirm that my idle pressure is at 34-36 but WOT is at 48 problem could be a vacuum leak?

How much does a vacuum gauge go for and where do I plug in the gauge to get a reading of my vacuum?

I just noticed at startup my fuel pressure is at 40-42 even if the engine is warm then if I wait about 10-15 seconds it drops down to 36-38 psi. Is that normal?

At startup, the fuel pressure is suppose to be higher. I believe in the FSM, it said to check fuel pressure only after the car has completly warmed up.
