well the only problem is see is where are you going to plumb the cooler in the oil??
last i checked the oil does not get circulated through the stock cooler. the tranny yes..but oil i don't think so. you can see if u can find a adapter to put on the oil filter and do it that way..but good luck finding someone that makes one.

I asumed I could connect it the same way as Stillens.

How is that one connected? Does anyone have the Stillen oil cooler?

i've never seen the stillen in person...but from the catalog pics it looks like they use a adapter sandwiched between the oil filter and the oil filter mount then run some AN lines to the cooler.
the main part is the adapter..you can use just about any cooler out there.

hayden 597 oil cooler i think

I think thats the model number. And what it is is a Hayden 404 cooler the same as the tranny one. It comes with an adaptor and tubing. Its a complete kit @ $80 over Stillens $375.

However, i ran into a small problem. The Maxima oil filter does not fit. The gasket diameter is a little too small. And it would cause an oil leak. Purolator emailed me some other filters that would fit with the 20mm thread. My nextt concern is the length of the new filter plus the sandwich adaptor. I'm afraid if its too long the lower suspension arm might hit the filter. So, tonight if i have time i will duck tape a cardboard tube around my stock filter and check it after a week and see if it got hit.
