Looks at the aluminum trim!! WOW!! High tech. It looks like even the stereo faceplate is trimed in smoked out aluminum.

 

I am just curious, where did you get the idea that it will be faster than 5er and GS430?

 

Well if you read the article like everyone else does, u would have saw it there. It says it right there.

but unfortunately in my GS400 booklet it claims 0-60 in 5.8sec, since when is 5.9 faster than 5.8??

 

I sat in the new Q at the Tornto Car Show, and let me tell you... Pure orgasmic heaven. Everything about it is near perfect. Dual rear reclining seats, sweet leather, just the design of it was so good...

Russ....its pretty obvious that Forbes doesn't have testing equipment. That 5.9 figure is what Infiniti is releasing. I don't think they took her to the track and did 0-60, 1/4 etc..

Woodear...I think he means the LS430. That car is around 6.3 as tested my MT(I think it was MT). The GS400 probably is now 5.8 with the larger 4.3L. BUT if indeed it is only .1 quicker thats negligable. Also.....the Q will have it beat by what...25hp?(is the gs 300 or now 315?) if its 300hp then its beat by a solid 40hp. Also...the g and q are not in competition with each other....more the q and ls.

 

Mike, to be perfectly honest, if it were anyone else said what Russ said, I would not even have responded, but it was Russ, so...

Btw, it doesn't really matter to me which is faster, I don't need to always defend what I own and I am not planning on getting another Lexus anyway.
It's just my opinion, that more hp doesn't guarantee a faster car, we will see when the car comes out.

 

-Exactly! Hp is only ONE factor.....theres torque, gearing, weight, c/d, etc...

-Why no more lexus? Do you still like the QX4? Its a pretty sweet truck....TV's front and rear....3.5VQ....still not all that fast....but looks great....best car like ride.

 

I like Lexus, but I want variaties. I only live this many years and I want to own different brands for the experience. I don't know what I want for my next car, maybe a CLK still.
I test drove the QX4, it was slow as hell and the back seats is got no leg room.
