I have wondered the same thing, I own both cars and by looking I really dont think it will be a problem at all. If I had a CAI on my 97 I would try it, but I dont.

Fellas... to answer your question, it would be YES! (and I say that because my CAI is froma 97 Max) But there are a couple of things you may wish to consider.

For one, the midpipe is different in that it angles slightly moreso on the engine side. Which makes proper alignment a 'touchy-feely' issue.

Second (and this has to do with the midpipe as well), there are two extra holes on the midpipe that aren't used for whatever reason when it's installed on the VE. I simply put a small screw in one of the holes. But the other one was a bit too big for that kinda 'fix', so I tack-welded some light grade aluminum to cover the hole, sanded everything down, painted over the whole shebang, and it looks good to me.

Installing the rest of the CAI, I ran into some of what I found to be 'typical' install woes. That being, I had to relocate the fuse box on the side wall by the battery toward the front of the car by an inch. Still accessible, just moved.

If you need any help, let me know. Pics are on my website, for reference purposes.

Thank you.... please drive through!

I would think an Injen would fit, as well. And I'm assuming you have a 4th gen CAI, Shawn... If so, you might run into the same midpipe issues, but that's about it.

I got a warpspeed CAI. They say its VE exclusive and the midpipe has the same configuration as the stock one.
