=)--------> =( Uncle Max 1st Dyno pull

Well I finally took the max to Carboy after stealing a few sensors off my moms max that I lost on mine. I had a check engine on the O2's,Air Temp,Boost sensor,Idle Control and got it down to just the O2's.
I got it fixed from turning off after high revs, and got 307hp and 314 tq. Not bad I guess with some sensors needing to be replaced.

So I slap all the sensors back on my Mom's max and drive home. It felt ok so I thought hey it feels ok let see how it feels in boost. Knowing in the back off my head not to. So I give it gas, get into some boost and all my dash lights turn on. Down shift to kick it back on and nothing. I was like NOOOOOOOOO it can be happening.

I had to get the bastered towed. I was kicking myself the whole time I'm waving cars around to keep from getting rear ended. Got back to my shop thinking I'm gonna run ( or push in my case) this car into the river. Totally disappointed but had to find out what happen. I thought I blew the motor or something, it just wouldn't turn on. Check all the wires and SAFC settings. Finally found the issue, the fuel pump hose in the tank got loose and couldn't send fuel to the motor. I was happy but the same time thinking when will the madness stop.

Sorry so long, had to vent.

damn sorry to hear about the trouble. Some pretty sweet dyno #'s nice job on the turbo. That inlet looks huge in the pic on your homepage.

Did you dyno with those huge chrome wheels? I hope not.lol

I was running 10lbs spring on the waste gate.

I was on the feeder of the beltway so it wasn't too bad. I'm just glad it wasn't something big that was wrong. I wouldn't have been able to fix the hose until I got the shop. It was the hose in the gas tank that got loose.

I ran on stock steelies.

You should be running like 340-370 hp right with 10 pounds?

What turbo are you running now and what size piping all around? At 10psi, 307/314 is pretty weak if you are running exhaust and have good fuel delivery.

What was the A/F?

307whp isn't terribly bad at 10psi. It depends on turbo size and setup. From what I can see he has a T3/60-1 which is plenty big to produce good numbers. He does have a factory non-MEVI manifold and that could explain the 10-15hp difference between his the couple of other Max's running around 10psi w/ MEVI's.

you don't think he should be seeing 330-350?? on that size turbo?

Let me see I have 3" piping from the down pipe to about right before the rear wheels. I have a 3" inlet/outlet exhaust. I have I think 2.5" from turbo to intercooler then I have 3" from intercooler to intake.

I have at t3/60-1 turbo. I can't remember what my a/f was. I remember seeing 11.5 up to 14.5 I couldn't remember what was rich and lean. So I didn't pay attention. The tuner did tell me I was running rich until I got all my issues fixed. But I can't really say.

I have the Cartech/EDI looking FMU. But I haven't hooked up the Fuel pressure gauge yet.

Do you treat your car like **** Uncle Max? I don't see how all your sensors are getting fried.

Not Really it's just that most are missing. When I had Haltech I got rid of all the sensors because of the haltech. Now that I went back to the stock harness, it's kinda hard to find some of the sensors when the cars been in the shop for 2 years. After I hooked up the pump it ran good again, but I won't get into boost until I get all the sensors on again.

A/F ratio is XX.X parts air to 1 part fuel, so a higher number means more air, and is therefore, leaner. Ideal on naturally aspirated motors is 12.5-12.7:1, not-so-naturally aspirated is a little lower (richer) since the air is hotter, ~11.5-12:1. The extra fuel helps cool the combustion chamber, piston face and valves to reduce the risk of detonation and pre-ignition.

Ahh ok. The numbers did get larger at idle.

I like to call it my 240 bubble butt. They'll go back on the Max when I start driving it again.
