I have a small camera that accepts power in the form of 9 volts. The car power is 12 volts. The camera can take the 12v but i was told it may burn the camera after a while. Is there a way i can convert the voltage down to 9 volts? thanks

the camera has two wires that one out, a black for ground, and a red for the 9volt power...

 

what u need is a resistor. go to ur local radio shack and ask them which one u need. they are like $.50
