Ok, I am posting this for a buddy of mine. He has a 97 "auto" that he converted last year into 5-speed, including the ECU. Yesterday, he was able to pick up a 5-speed 97 ECU harness and he installed it. Everything is fine to begin with, however, there is no plug in the engine bay to run the two wires from the back of the clutch pedal to allow the car to start. When he "hard" starts the car by tapping the starter, the car runs perfectly fine, but he is needing to wire up the clutch start pedal switch. Where do those two wires off the clutch pedal switch run to? Thanks all.......

I dont see the reason for swapping to a 5speed harness. Im still on an auto harness and I have reverse lights and all that.

I think you wire that clutch switch to a relay thats in the relay box right in front of the battery(the small box) I bypassed that switch so that means I can start the car without stepping on the clutch
