Things you would have kept or taken off.
Last night I was driving and I said to myself, self you know what I miss, I miss the voice box from the 86 max in the car. It would tell you if gas was low, door was open. Just someting I wish or would have still liked on my car.
Please feel free what you would have lied or didn't want on your max. Make it max related.

The same model 2nd Gen Maxima you mentioned I think started this whole 4DSC thing

NIssan should have kept the
Voltage gauge
Oil Pressure gauge
and adjustable shocks
These were all standard on 2nd Gen Maximas. My first car was a 85SE 5spd about 13 years ago, and I thought I was the #*&@!!!!
Or to take it a step further maybe Nissan shoud have kept the RWD from the 1st Gen, I think that was also an inline engine.

I definately do not miss my voice warning system. Was a blessing when I put a new stereo in.
Sucks when your trying to do work and the car says over and over again, key is in the ignition! :P I do miss the adjustable shock, but at over $2000 to replace, it's not worth it. Also the stock equalizer! Wish it would work with aftermarket decks! :P

Came in 1st (sedans anyway, wagons got a live axle rear suspension), 2nd, and 3rd. Kinda sucked Nissan went to the multilink setup, kinda hurt the newer gen's handling ability IMHO, though a full aftermarket suspension fixes that. ![Big Grin](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I miss that one inch square LED dash display on my old ’81 280ZX that sequenced through various conditions every time you started up, like seat belts, washer fluid, coolant level, etc. It was high tech for its time and interesting to watch.
