I just got my motor trend today and boy am i excited. On page 144 there is an Eibach Maxima. Dropped 1.7" front and 1.4" rear. OZ F1 Cup 18x8.0" wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zeros 235/40ZR18. Stillen big brakes. The best of all is a Jim Wolf Intercooled TURBO-CHARGER running 10.0 psi boost, resulting in 300HP.

STATS
0-60 time: 5.82 sec
1/4 mile: 14.3/99.3
60-0 braking: 125 feet
slalom: 65.2 mph

I'm excited how about everyone else. When are we gonna get that Turbo for ourselves.

Thats cool but,

Those are some pretty weak stats. I mean some guy here with a 2K max with a couple boltons ran a 14.3 and with the big brake kit only stoping a couple feet shorter then stock sheesh, what a waste of money!

Just thought of this

I think the maxima they tested might have been an autobox. The stats for the stock maxima they compared it to are

STATS:
0-60: 7.25
1/4 mile: 15.5/91.3
60-0 stop:133 feet
slamom: 62.0 mph

However the published stats for a 2000 SE 5-spd, in the same book are

STATS:
0-60: 6.7 sec
1/4 mile: 15.1/94.4
60-0: 128 feet

If what i think is true then those are some impressive gains for an auto. Hope to find out more info.

if its the same one they tested like 10000 days ago then they launched in second cuz the stock clutch was slipping or some bs like that...

funny how the guy in the islands claims like 380hp?? with his own turbo but JWT only makes only 300hp.

wonder what psi guy in hawii is running...

The JWT turbo Maxima is a 5-spd, I think. I skimmed the article while at Fry's today.

Anyway, it's fuel limited. Stock fuel injectors are too small for the turbo to be used to its potential. See the SCC article here:
