hi i wanted to know if pyramid amps are any good? They are pretty cheap and look good but will they last and give me good performance and sound?

 

i have a friend who tried to push 3 10" JBL's with one only to have it crap out after 2 weeks

pyramid = complete and utter garbage

jl, kicker, phoenix gold, eclipse, rockford, some good brands when it comes to amps.

 

Don't forget Orion!

 

And PPI.....or at least the Power Class and Art Series....dunno about the PCX line...

theres alot of good amps, just not pyramid, boss, mobile authority and a host of others

 

If you get a Pyramid amp, dont forget to also thrown in the always classy, Pyramid gooseneck EQ !....

 

rockwood is a very good brand. same with sparkomatic, realastic (or whatever the name of the radio shack brand is) , sony selfXplode, pyle and legacy.

JL, Kicker, Xtant, Brax, Carver, McIntosh, etc are all junk.

 

my brother has had a 1200 watt pyramid for like two years, and it still works great, powering first, cerwin vegas, then kenwoods, now kove armageddons.......it has seemingly crapped out, but after a few days out of the car and in the house, it magically worked again. weird.
