Maxima is cursed....

...havent posted here in a while, and yes the car is still in my family. My dad drives it to work. Anyhow, I took it today for the first time in ages to go pick up some mufflers for my corvette up in NJ. I live in MD. My car has rather large subs in the rear and I didnt feel like taking them out and my dad had already filled the max with gas so I stole his car instead.

Anyway on the way home what happens but the check engine light comes on. I havent pulled the code yet cuase I'm kinda tired and I really dont feel like working on my old car, but this reminds me of the last time the CEL came on, and that was for the 2001 Jersey City maxima meet, I was on the way home on the New Jersey turnpike and sure enough the light came on that time too!

I now have a theory, the car likes Jersey and didnt want to leave. Each time it was in Jersey it wanted to throw its light. Interesting fact however that I realized later, that the previous owner lived in New Jersey.

BTW that thing gets really crappy gas mileage. For a 6 cyl it was only able to manage 320 or so miles on a tank all highway driving.

Mine just doesnt like me, period. I get horrible gas mileage, it's been hit twice in a parking lot, and Ive been in 2 other wrecks that werent my fault. Not to mention the broken motor mount and ripped CV boot.

while you are driving at night you should turn around and maybe you will see the previous owner sitting in the back seat stairing at you

Now that statement is really creepy, because I bought my car from an elderly woman who was murdered in her home 2 days after I bought the car.

I will never buy a car/motorcycle that i know somebody has died in....

which makes me wonder, especially these vehicles that you dont see the previous owner (dealer, etc) where somebody committed suicide in their car with carbon monoxide.... I bet THAT doesnt show up on carfax......

Yeah this is some funny $hit, but I wouldn't be inside the car that somebody died in. It doesn't feel right.

as long as she wasnt murdered in the car, you're golden . or did you get a good price because of her "accident"

Cuz I love my baby. She may be accident prone, but she's still a great car. I dont plan on getting rid of her until I can afford a newer one, or she takes a **** on me.
