Opinions on how to sell my Maxima..

Yup, after 3 years, str8ridin is selling the maxiRider. I'm looking for some people who had experience selling their "modded" Maxima. Is there a big enough market for modded cars that I can sell my Maxima with all the mods? (mods are basically y-ypipe, intake, 18's, lowered, fre flow cat and exhaust and everything cleared.). Or would I be better off parting my car out first and selling it as as stock as I can get it? What are some of your experiences?

BTW, here is the new ride that shall be gracing my garage...99 CLK.

Thanks for any help you guys can give...

In short, the anyway to make money on a maxima with all the stuff on it is sell directly to an org member that understands the importance/value of the mods, or part out. How most guys do it is honestly parting out the goodies to org members, and getting a good price on the car somewhere else. CLK is a nice car, my uncle has one and it will hall some *****

even if you find a org member to buy the modded car, you will pretty much always get more money selling mods seperately.

I think you would get more by parting out, then selling the car as stock as possible, unless you know someone locally that wants to buy it. Then you also gotta ask yourself if its worth it to take all the aftermarket crap off or just take a loss on it......

I see..thanks for the response fellas. Looks like my action plan is to advertise on the .org, then try locally and target a tuner crowd, then as lastly, if there is no interest, part it out and sell.

Last question, anyone interested in my car?

You'd definitely end up making more money by selling any modifications you've made seperately. Most maxima buyers don't care that you've modified your car. Even if they do like it, they definitely won't shell out enough extra cash to cover what you could make by selling the parts off on the side.
