That would NOT be my 1st choice. They do FAIR work for the price.
At one time - it was all I could afford and the damage to my car wasnt TOO bad. So...they did the work.
It came out alright, but little things they missed ****ed me off.

Be sure to get paint from the factory. Are they going to paint the whole car if won't be that bad. If it is individual pieces they probally don't take the pieces off and it will be hard to get in the jams. Are you going to get door jams painted too?

bumper and hood is the only thing i would let them touch (and might with all those chips multiplying daily). even then they wouldn't be my first choice, but since it's a franchase, it varies from place to place. talk to people in the shop. see samples if you can and check out other body shops. but for the money, they do decent work.
well every macco is different. here in miami there are two that are close by me. one in hollywood does excellent jobs and one in medley that does decent jobs. i guess you can say its like any other chains . one burger king may have excellent service and they take a little more care in preparing your food and then there is the other bk that rushes and does everything. btw i had a car painted at each of those maccos. another thing, go to a macco that has an experienced body man. its not macco painting your car its a worker
maaco uses enamel paint, their enamel paint. the paint never holds up to the test of time. maaco repaints entire cars as opposed to blending damaged cars because their paint will never match factory and will never look right. you have a 99. unless you hate your car dont repaint it.
i have seen decent maaco paint jobs, but thats when the person either did, or had someone do the bodywork prior to them spraying the car. when i went to have my old car resprayed it went fromt the 199 embasador service to 1200 after all the "have to charge you to do this" fees, you know like masking off tires

I got My car painted at macco. My pearl white just wasnot holding up at all (95) and I had heavy rust damaged. They did the whole car a mat blue and with everything I GOT WHAT I PAID FOR!! Thats to say I had to fight to get things done right. They actually painted my leather interior with overspray, my new rims, fogs you get the idea. In a nut shell they cut corners and give out a barly acceptable job. I had them redo the car. I was redone twice and i had to fight each step of the way. The body had held up well (being 6 months but the frount bumber is peeling up is sheets) They don't warrent bumbers so they WILL DO A SH*T Job in those plastic parts. Well My advice is if you can live with the imperfections and ok work, fine. but if you love your car or do things right the first time get an oem job or leave it be you will only do your car harm by cutting corners. I have learn that lesson all too hard.
There are 2 resons people don't like MAACO.
1. They just bash it because they heard it was terrible(most people here)
2. They had it done but never had their old paint removed before painting.
MAACO has REALLY cheap prices but they don't include stripping of the old paint, extra cost. The ambassador thing for $250 they have is just a resparay. If you have a weekend to strip the paint yourself just do that and then take it to them.

Macco desieves to get bashed.
They are the dumbest people on the face of the earth. I know every Macco is different but the one up in RI can eat ****. I just wanted my bumper painted. And I told them that I would take it off multiple times. And thier responce was 'no leave it on.' I said can I mask off my car and they said no because of liability reasons and if I don't do a good job. Well guess what happened. The paint was the wrong color THREE times. there was black over - spray all over my car. and my rims were white (were polish alu) and exhaust was white and the under body of my car was white. Pretty much everything was white. So I can say that THEY SUCK!!
I took them to court I won then then they coutered but because I was home from school (400 miles away) and I was working. I could not make it back up there. But no biggie, I know the owner paid a lot in lawyer fees, haha sucka. That is my story. So don't take your car to Macco UNLESS it is a daily driver that you drive through NYC or Boston and get rear-ended everyday and want to have your now black panels becuase of chipping and cracking to be a color again. It will probably not be the color you want, But don't worry Macco will pick one out for you. MACCO THIS IS FOR YOU
