passport 8500 question?

passport 8500 question?
Were there any updates for the passport 8500 since last year. So were the ones made in 2002 the same as the 2003 in terms of programming?

Yeah, but AFAIK, you would pay half of the cost of a new passport 8500 to upgrade your V1 from 1.7 to 1.8 or future releases.
