Said goodbye to my maxima...

unfortunately, my maxima has been totalled. i was in irvine going west on culver towards the 405N freeway, and right after i went through the culver/main intersection, i rearended a lady in a 2004 toyota matrix in the number 1 lane. i guess i was looking in my rearview mirror a half-second too late, and someone must have cut in front of her to get onto the freeway because she was at a dead stop and i was going about 30mph. i slammed on the brakes and skidded into her. all that happened to her car was a small spoiler type piece that is on the bottom of her rear bumper broke off. my car got a little f'd up. my hood was smashed, the grill just jumped off, my bumper also smashed, the radiator was pushed back along with that bar that goes across from the left fender to the right fender ontop of the radiator.
that damage was estimated at a little over $3,000 and my car was valued at $2,000. fyi- it was a '90 se with 160,000 miles.
so after taking all my little mods off, i dropped it off at tustin auto body and said goodbye as it is now probably at the mercury insurance salvage yard.

Damn, that really sucks man. I was just thinking about what happened to you the other day, I saw you on my IM list, but you never go on as much. Your 3rd gen was the first I ever saw in person hooked up at the BBQ meet we had waaay back in the days. Email me with what mods you have and I might be able to help you out dmontzsta@werd.com

Dang, B!! I think your car was one of the first ones I saw, too. Not in person, though, but in pics!

Any plans for getting another Max, or is this the end of your .orgy???

(oh, and let ME know about your mods, too...)
