There's also a 3rd gen I have seen. It has nearly the exact same rims and spoiler, but has a green/purple chameleon paint scheme on it if I remember. But this one still retained it's 4 doors...

Looked absolutely horrible, but atleast it was creative...

The Maxima was originally the Datsun 810, this was around 77-80. This could also be the 0 generation Maxima. The name Maxima was originally a trim level you could get. So it was the Datsun 810 Maxima. Then in 81, they decided to name the car Maxima. The car was RWD, offered in 2 body style, sedan or wagon, and 2 motors. 2.4 fuel injected straight 6, or a 2.8l straight six diesel. Also had a choice of 5-speed or auto. 2nd gens changed the whole platform, went FWD, and used the z31 N/A motor (VG30E). It was also the last generation for the wagon (in the states at least).

Thats a sweet diesel sedan though.... Nice mileage on it. Plus I hear the 280Z turbo kit fits on the diesel...

The 280zx turbo is almost a direct swap. Hell if you did it right, you could drop a RB motor in there. That car would be all sorts of sleeper. I also notice another thing....I didn't see rust anywhere....a very common problem with the 1st gens.
