Navigation Question...

I know some of you like Kloogy with a 2k2 or 2k3 have the navigation from Nissan. Now does anyone know how much it costs if I were to buy it from Nissan right now or from someone like Courtesy parts? Also with your systems, how are you satisfied with them? I am just trying to weigh whether something like a Pioneer unit would be better since its voice activated and what not, but at the same time is most likely a lot more $ plus a lot bigger pain to install. At the same time I think the navi's are only bose which i don't have but I'm sure I could find for a good price somewhere. So basically its whether to buy stock Nissan navi, and get the bose or simply get something like the Pioneer and go from there....any input would be greatly appreciated...

My Dad has the 2004 with Navi, and I have Pioneer Navi with Flip-out screen (see homepage). I prefer mine 10x over stock because 1) It's touch screen 2) I can play with it while driving 3) The screen is hideaway

Yea but once again, the newest Pioneer installed will set me back over $2k, the Nissan navi I can install myself I think and save a lot of $ that way...plus i'd have Bose as opposed to spending more $ on aftermarket speakers and what not

I have the AVH-P6500dvd and AVIC-80dvd ... It's such a great combo because it's touchscreen. I don't know if the 7500 is touchscreen though. But I love the combo.

Both 7500dvd and 6500dvd are touch screen.

pre 2k4 Nissan Navigation units are all CD BASED so that simply blows!

Also the install will be alot easier on the AFTERMARKET compared to OEM.

7500DVD with AVIC80 is the best combo :-)

I would agree that if you are wanting to add Nav...go for an aftermarket unit. A lot of features are packed into those things...including the ability in quite a few of them to watch DVD video. Besides, you want the latest technology. the unit that I had in my 02 and 03 max was CD-rom and there were like 9 cd's for the country. You don't want that.
