Stereo Upgrade???
#1
Just bought a 98 SE and I am replacing the stock Bose stereo this weekend. Where is a good/easy place to run the power into the car? Are there any tricks to taking to doors off? Do you need a wiring harness, I want to be able to put the stock system back in eventually. Any other tips would be appreciated.

simple
for the amp power, you drill a hole on yuor fire wall so u can route the wires through there. make sure u put a gromet there or esle the metal might eventually cut through the wire. and in some cases may cause a fire.
for the deck you need to buy a wiring harness (-+$15) splice the wires on that with the harness that comes with the after market deck using butt connectors, and plug in mount u're done. real simple. just figure out how to take ur dash out.. i'm too lazy to explain..

I wired up my car last night...
And I found a hole so you don't have to drill into your car... something I was trying to avoid doing. It's located on the firewall underneath where you see the VIN number of your car. It's a little black grommet, if you pull this out, it leads right behind the radio/air vents. You can poke a hole in the grommet and feed the wire through it, then all you have to do is pop the grommet back into place. From there, you can route the wire under the carpet to go underneath the pedals and then route it over to the side and pop off the bottom door panels to route the wires through the plastic conduits.
