Lately I've been tracking the mileage of my '98 GXE. I'm in Canada, so we measure stuff in Litres and Kilometers.
I use a calculator to get my MPG, and end up with numbers around 20mpg. This seems way too low. Should I be converting Litres to US gallons or UK gallons? When I use UK gallons, I get numbers around 25-26MPG, which seems reasonable. Can anyone help me?

BTW, I get about 11L/100KM, so if anyone has come data presentm, could you compare this to MPG?

to get better gas mileage do a tuneup change the fuel filter, sparkplugs, oil change, oil filter and that should help out alittle on the gas mileage.

Thanks, but the question is whether or not the "g" ini "mpg" is US gallons, or UK gallons. It seems when I use US gallons, my mileage is way too low.

There are tons of calculators out there. Go search Google.

11L/100KM is on par with a highway (110-140 KM/H) run. Anything above 5000 RPM and fuel mileage goes down, though smiles go up. Even 4000 RPM is fairly decent on fuel.

It's 3.58L / us Gallon or 4.5L / UK (Imperial) gallon.

US gallons are what you'll find on most of this forum. 20mpg isn't out of line for winter, around town mileage with an automatic. A tuneup might help some.
