Need a new battery soon........

Ok....I STILL have the 1993 stock Nissan battery 62K miles and 7 Buffalo
winters. Ok....so I think I might as well change it instead of looking for problems.
Ideas? Here is what I want.

A. One of those weight saving battery. Wizeguy weighed his and it was like 15lbs
lighter than the stocker.

B. Something high power. Under load(my car in drive with headlights and 85w fogs)
the car feels a little strained. I just wanna make sure there is lots of power there
when the alt really aint makin much.

Is cold cranking amps the same as aH? I don't think it is. I got some wiered info off
a 3rd gen page. Check this out.

The numbers went like this:
For a 3rd gen

USA GXE: 60aH
USA SE: 80aH
Canada: GXE: 80aH
Canada: SE: 100aH

Just trying to help out my idle with more power. But really I want lightweight with
good cold starting power.

battery reply

i replaced my stock battery after i neglected to keep the cells filled.2 years.so i was looking and at first i was going to get the optima yellow or red. hi dollar batteries and u can mount them sideways and upside down in the trunk and cool stuff like that for stereo mods....the cold cranking amps on those were 120, so i bought a high performance no-maintenance battery with 120 cold cranking amps for 70 bucks. cold cranking amps is the thing we need, the higher the better.u can compare batteries...if u want to mount it upside down get the optima....if not just get one with high ratings, high minute reserve...and have a nice day,

Battery Question

Go with an AC DELCO

They aren't too badly priced ($75) and after my stock battery blew up, I had to get a new battery. I'm running two MTX 10's, 600 watt amp, along with higher wattage headlight bulbs and my car is doing just fine.
