I've had my PBA card confiscated, Fraternal Order of Police, and several other cards that only can be obtained from a Supervisor of a Precinct.
Even my USMC ID was rejected when I was stopped for 95 in a 55...tho the charge was dismissed on 3/7/01
I would like to obtain a DEA card like the sticker on my car. That'll cheese off any officer.

Re: Whaaa?
PBA = Policeman's Belevolent Associtation?
USMC = United States Marine Core
FOP = Friends of Police or Friends of State Troopers
you ither have to have family in the Force or have a friend who is willing to get you one...
or you can be a regular donater to your local PBA fund..

I got NY DEA card not the sticker. My dad knows this judge in some court and he gave it to him and my pops dont drive much so he gave it to me. so you think this card works? how should i use it if i get pulled over (HOPEFULLY NEVER). SHOULD I LEAVE IT ON MY WINDSHIED BY LIKE MY REGISTRATION STICKER OR SHOULD I SHOW IT BY MY LICENCE? I ALSO GOT NYC PBA LIEUTENANT CARD SO HOW MUCH DOES THAT HELP IF ANYBODY KNOWS?
FOP= Fraternal Order of Police.
PBA cards very very little weight anymore, there too easy get a hold of and the younger officers just don't care about them anymore. If you get pulled over for speeding, there are a few things that you can do to reduce your chances of a ticket.
1.) If you see him ,and he sees you, slow down. Nothing gets a ticket faster than 'disrespecting my authorita'.
2.) Pull over when he pulls out. One of my friends has done that about 10 times and hasn't gotten a ticket for it yet. They usually just pass you by and return to their hiding spot.
3.) If your windows are tinted, roll down all of the windows so that he can easily see what/who is inside the car. It lowers his cautiousness level and lightens him up.
4.) Turn on the dome light at night. Goes back to rule number 3.
5.)Don't get your license and registration out before he comes to the car. It looks like you've done this before and it goes back to rule number 3, are you going for your license or a gun?
6.) Pull over as far to the right, RIGHT of traffic as possible and turn off the car. I see people that pull to the left every once in a while and that's a guaranteed ticket.
7.)If your going 93 MPH, don't say I think I was going about 62. Nothing like insulting everyone's intelligence. Just say I was speeding, let him decide how much it was for.
8.) Excuses don't work. He knows if you're getting the ticket about 5 seconds after he starts talking to you. Saying something like "I had a family emergency" or "I had to go to the bathroom" really don't work if you just passed an exit for the hospital or a restaurant.
9.)Rice=ticket. Sunglasses=ticket. Radar detector=ticket. Loud exhaust or radio=ticket. Non-standard light bulb colors=ticket.
I'll make a more comprehensive list later...

I have heard that people usually slide it in with the license when they ask you for it..
or be slick in showing it while talking out your license.. this one i would do over the first one... its like casually showing it but not showing it..

Hogan--
what's up? didn't know you are in the Marines? wheww...I was wondering, when the cops check your driver's license, how can they tell if you are in the marines or have legacy in the service? their little computer can do all that?
I've got to bring my car over for a check-up and stuff like that one of these days!!

I just stare into the officer's eyes, make firm eye contact, and address him as sir or mam. When asked for my license, my Marines ID is never far behind. I give my registration and insurance, officer goes back to the car, and comes back out after seeing the "legacy" in my family. Usually off I go with some easy ticket such as light failure or just a warning.

No, the computers, at least in NYS can't do that. They can see the status of the license (not how many times you have gotten tickets however), the status of the registration and insurance and if there are any warrants in your name. That's about it.
no way@!@
Hogan!! Great to hear from you, man!!
I didn't know you stopped working at Champs (you are still working somewhere, right?) I gotta come pay ya a visit!! I figured since I didn't have any problems with my car, I just didn't need to bring it in to any of the shops (knock on wood).
Glad to see that you are pursuing bigger fishes. But thanks for the talk on the service IDs and stuff. My friend who is in the service down in NC was caught speeding (was with him) when the troopers pulled him over and just gave him a warning because he said he was in rush to report back to his XO. Pretty cool since he was doing like 85 in a 55 zone...
heheh.

Brian, I have a separate ID card, I kept my NYS Drivers license since I was medically discharged, I am no longer in the service. Civilian once again, but I assume on my Record when they bring up my info, there must be something there. Brian, I quit working at Champs to pursue bigger fish.

I still have the home based business,so I'm relying on the Honda guys to keep me going.

For people who are still in the service, your license is good as long as you have a military id. I.E. some old *** col. in the army can drive with his license that expired back in the 1950s as long as he has his military id with him. The advantage of not renewing your license is DMV can't track your traffic violations or something like that. I just found this out, can't wait till my license expires :-)
