shifting is nice and all but it gets in the way of my daily actvities:

toking
my hand on a girl
her on me

i seriously don't know how people can shift and do the daily activities in their car.

Ive never gotten tired of shifting.
Whenever I shift, it makes me enjoy more car that much more.
In traffic I tend to get frustrated, but its not the shifting that really bothers me,..its the freaking traffic. But at those times I just tend to pump the music up and block evreything else out.

Yeah the shifting does limit to what you can do in the way to the girls, girls, girls, girls. But it’s all good because you’ve got a five speed. I don’t like parallel parking on an incline but everything else is totally sweet, even in traffic it fun because what else you got to do while bumping to some tunes.

Count me in on the "No, but traffic sucks". It's the "automatic" tendencies in the traffic that **** me off - ie, hard acceleration and hard braking/poor overall modulation in thick traffic, people not paying attention to lights, people doing the automatic inch-up or stopping back too far and then randomly deciding to inch forward 10 seconds later...etc, etc.

Heavy traffic isn't as much of a headache overall with the stereo in effect, though. (It sucks that other people around me get ticked off, especially in summer since I roll windows down even if it's 100 and I'm not moving, but...)

i love shifting 99.9% of the time. It keeps me alert in traffic besides being fun. The VQ has enough torque to start in 2nd which is a bonus in rush hour= less shifting.

I have only recently come to hate shifting. Ever since my 1st and 2nd gear went sour. Got it "fixed" but 1st and 2nd are still about 50% stiffer than 3rd and 4th. Sometimes its a workout to shift from 2nd to 3rd

how about when you're driving you "drive" and when you're not driving you do that other stuff. I got rear-ended because some a-hole was doing one of the things on your list and I my a-ss off because there was a cop 3 cars behind him so he got screwed by the po-po and by his insurance.
