Ran a 15.45 with a terrible launch and lots of wheel hop. It was my first time at the track with a 5-speed. Only mods are a K&N filter. I still have to install my Cattman SS Y-Pipe which has been sitting here forever and then I'll run again after practicing my launching.

Need more info....

What were your trapspeeds, 1/8 and 60ft times? Did you leave the car in 3rd gear or shift into 4th gear? Wheelhop means your engine mounts are getting soft. You can stuff some rubber hose into the gaps of the stock mounts and that should reduce the wheelhop.

Don't worry about it. My first time out in my Maxima I was running 15.5-15.6@90mph with 2.5 60 foots. I had a lot more mods than you too!!! I had a y-pipe, muffler, and HKS intake. Now with much better driving, launching, and shifting I'm consistently getting 14.8-14.9@94-95mph with still sucky 2.3 60 foots. My mods are below. As you can see, better driving is the best mod you can do.

What were your 60', 1/8th et and trap speed, 1/4 mile trap speed, and conditions (weather, elevation). Did you remove your spare and jack, play with air pressures, run a 1/2-1/4 tank of gas? We need more info!!!
