how much of a difference do u think this would be? right now i have 2 amp, 1 hooked up to each sub (1 is 1000w the other is 600w) in a bandpass box with 2 12" audiobahn subs. in order to lose some of the weight im switching to 1 12" sub in a ported box made specifically for my sub and im gonna run the 1000w amp on it. seeing how the enclosure is perfect for the sub do u think that it could possibly sound just as good as the 2 in the bandpass?

1 sub will never sound as good as 2 of the same kind. you might however gain something in the fact that the one sub is now powered by one amp rather than two powered by two different amps. it will most likely sound cleaner but not necessarily louder good luck.
